AF is building an artistic training center for actors, writers, and directors of all experience levels who are interested in a peer-led, community-based class company. Created to support the working class artist with affordable prices, and to shift the focus back onto individual creative autonomy. Core classes include artistic director Ryan Czerwonko's Process class, david garelik's dramatic improv classes, plus regular workshops on acting, writing, and more from major nyc artists like maria dizzia, tina satter, and james calleri. All are geared towards a practical approach to working in theatre and tv/film.

Maria Dizzia teaches regular workshops designed to explore the actor’s approach to both plays and on-camera work. Often, her classes feature special topics such as a focus on Amy Herzog’s work, or experimental play scene study.

Tina Satter is the artistic director of Half Straddle and author of “Is This a Room”, featured on Broadway and made into the film “Reality” starring Sydney Sweeney, also directed by Tina.
Tina teaches a generative writing workshop for both actors and writers, focusing on intuitive creativity and a sense of play and theatricality. -
James Calleri is a top casting director of both Film/TV and theatre in NYC, as well as heading the MFA Acting program at Columbia.
James teaches workshops focused on auditioning for both on-camera and plays. -
Ross Shenker is an indie casting director and associate at Kate Geller Casting, as well as a certified Michael Chekhov instructor.
Ross teaches classes applying Michael Chekhov’s psychophysical acting/movement technique to the work of Anton Chekhov. -
Ryan is the artistic director of Adult Film, and is an actor, director, and teacher.
He teaches a Process Intensive and an Advanced Scene Study Intensive twice per year, in later winter/spring, and fall.

David Garelik is a working actor who teaches a dramatic improv class at AF, as well as a sense memory/dramatic improv combination class.

Kaley Ronayne is a working actor (series regular on Fox’s “The Resident”), and Karan Braga is one of NYC’s premiere Alexander Technique teachers.
Together, they combine their approach to script analysis, storyboarding, and physical embodiment to free the actor’s body and mind in an auditioning workshop.
